Lapis Dial
Absolute captivating example of a 1970s Piaget Dress Watch in white gold. Adorned with a striking lapis lazuli dial showing a beautiful natural pattern with sublte and elegant veins.
This watch stands as a testament to the fashion trend and impeccable watchmaking of its era, the 1970s. Crafted with precision in white gold, both the case and bracelet showcase the enduring mastery of Piaget’s creativity, in this case a 'woven' style design on the bezel as well as on the integrated, very solid and heavy white gold bracelet. The bracelet is soft, sturdy and thick, made in a quality to last and Piaget did not save material on it, the watch has a weight of almost 100 grams.
The almost TV shaped case houses the ultra thin manual winding caliber, the legendary 9P2 that was the result of the mastery and the mission to manufacture the slimmest movements in the world. The dial is made of Lapis hard stone that shows very subtle but noticeable amounts of pyrite that create a play on the dial. Further it is enhanced with diamonds in each quarter of the dial elevating the overall aesthetic.
Radiating a charming retro aesthetic, this Piaget watch is not just a relic but a contemporary delight, offered in remarkable conditions even after over four decades.
